I-LAND BEAT PROMOTIONS is an autonomous reggae organisation based in Rethymno,a small city in the island of Crete in Greece. It was created in September 2003 with one and only aim that is, to promote strictly roots reggae music to the people and to establish roots dances as alternative cultural events. After a regular promotion of happenings in the area with local, national and international artists we decided to build I-LAND BEAT SOUND SYSTEM in May 2008, in order to create the “sonic dominance” needed for an original sound system session.
